Terms & Conditions - Y2K
1. Organizer
This challenge is organized by Freepik Company S.L.U., registered in Spain, with registered office at C/ Molina Lario 13, 5ª Planta, 29015 Málaga, Spain (hereinafter “Magnific”).
2. Purpose
The purpose of this challenge is to enrich the Magnific content library with high-quality Y2K-aesthetic resources — Vector, PSD Template, Photo — that capture the visual language of late-1990s and early-2000s digital culture.
3. Eligibility and Scope of Participation
The following individuals may participate in the Challenge:
Persons who are at least eighteen (18) years of age.
Contributors registered on Magnific under the Pay Per Download model.
Persons holding an active account in good standing on the Magnific platform.
Employees of Magnific, as well as any persons who do not meet the requirements set out in these terms and conditions, are excluded from participation.
4. Submission Period
Valid resources are those uploaded to the Magnific Contributor platform between:
July 1, 2026 00:01 UTC and August 19, 2026 23:59 UTC
Resources uploaded outside this period will not be considered for the Challenge.
5. Participation Requirements
To be eligible, participants must:
Upload a minimum of 1 resource tagged with the required challenge tag:
y2kchallengeResources must be in one of the accepted formats: Vector, PSD Template, Photo.
All submitted content must be original and created by the participant.
AI-generated content is not accepted for this challenge.
6. Selection of Winners
Winners will be selected by a Magnific jury based on the following criteria:
Overall quality of the submitted resources
Originality and creative value
Creative coherence across the submitted collection
Alignment with the challenge briefing and creative direction
Three (3) winners will be selected and announced on September 2, 2026. For the purposes of this Challenge, each participant is eligible to receive one (1) prize only, regardless of the number of resources submitted.
The jury’s decision is final and binding.
7. Prizes
The following prizes will be awarded:
🥇 1st place: One hundred euros (€300)
🥈 2nd place: Two hundred euros (€200)
🥉 3rd place: Three hundred euros (€100)
8. Prize Payment
The prizes shall be paid together with the invoice corresponding to the month of October. In the event that the winner elects to receive payment in a currency other than EUR, the amount payable shall be adjusted in accordance with the applicable exchange rate in effect on the date the invoice is generated.
9. Intellectual Property
The participant guarantees that they hold all rights necessary over the submitted resources and releases Magnific from any liability arising from third-party claims.
10. Promotional Use
By participating in the Challenge, participants acknowledge and agree that their username and submitted resources may be used by Magnific for promotional purposes directly related to this Challenge, including but not limited to publication on Magnific's website, blog, newsletter, and social media channels. No additional remuneration shall be due for such use beyond the prize awarded.
11. Tax Matters
The financial incentives shall be subject, where applicable, to the relevant tax regulations. The participant shall be solely responsible for complying with their tax obligations.
12. Amendment, Cancellation and Exclusion
Magnific reserves the right to amend, suspend or cancel the Challenge, as well as to exclude any participant who breaches these terms or acts fraudulently. Magnific further reserves the right to declare prizes void if the minimum quality or participation standards are not met.
Grounds for disqualification include: plagiarism, copyright infringement, submission of off-topic content, and manipulated engagement metrics.
13. Data Protection
The personal data provided by participants will be processed by Freepik Company S.L.U for the purpose of managing the Challenge, in accordance with the applicable data protection regulations and Magnific’s Privacy Policy. Participants may exercise their rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction, and portability by contacting rpd@magnific.com.
14. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These terms shall be governed by Spanish law. For any dispute arising from the Challenge, the parties expressly submit to the Courts and Tribunals of the city of Málaga, expressly waiving any other jurisdiction that may correspond to them.
15. Acceptance
Participation in the Y2K Challenge implies full acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
